Alain Kornhauser, PhD
Dr. Kornhauser is the Founder of ALK Technologies, Inc. His
full-time occupation is Professor of Operations Research and
Financial Engineering at Princeton University, where he is
also Director of the Interdepartmental Transportation Research
Program, Co-Director of the Center for Transportation Information
and Decision Engineering and an affiliated faculty member
of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
Dr. Kornhauser received his Ph.D. from Princeton University
in 1971. He is a member of many professional societies, has
been published extensively in scholarly journals and has made
numerous presentations at professional conferences around
the world. He has also completed 12 New York City marathons.

Katherine Kornhauser
Mrs. Kornhauser is the President of ALK Technologies.
Before she and Dr. Kornhauser founded ALK in 1979, she was
a scientific programmer analyst at the Educational Testing
Service.
Mrs. Kornhauser holds both her Bachelor of Arts and Master's
degrees in mathematics from Penn State University.

David Bernstein, PhD
Dr. Bernstein is a member of the faculty at James Madison
University in the Department of Computer Science. Before coming
to JMU, he was a member of the faculty at Princeton University
and at MIT.
Dr. Bernstein's research focuses on personal navigation systems,
the design/evaluation of traveler information systems and
pricing policies, and electronic commerce (especially en-route
commerce). He has published many papers on these topics in
journals such as Transportation Science, Operations Research,
Transportation Research, the Transportation Research Record,
and the ITE Journal.
Before returning to academia, Dr. Bernstein was the Director
of Research at Atlantic Commodities, and the Vice President/Software
Development at Investment Technologies. He has worked on consulting
projects in North America, South America, Africa, and Asia.
